The FIRUN meets individual needs and offers an exclusive sledding experience. Its special skids guarantee driving pleasure whatever the snow conditions or the speed at which the rider wishes to travel. The FIRUN steers and brakes with ease.

Here you will find practical tips on driving, transport and care in order to fully enjoy the benefits of the FIRUN’s versatile performance.

For simple turns, control with the feet.

Place one foot beside the skid to make a turn.

For left turn place the left foot next to the skid.
For right turn place the right foot next to the skid.

Assist with the upper body by leaning in
the opposite direction of the desired curve.

For sporty, fast carving of corners, control by shifting weight.

Place feet on the skids while leaning the upper body in the opposite direction.

When weight is shifted to the left, the Firun is deflected to the right.

The greater the weight transfer, the narrower the curve radius.

The leather handle provides good support in this maneuver.

Control side drift with weight shift and the opposite foot.

Lean the upper body in the opposite direction while simultaneously placing one foot in the inside of the curve.

The Firun drifts in a curve around the foot placed in the snow.

Put your feet in the snow, occasionally lifting the FIRUN using the handle.

The more the FIRUN is pulled upward, the stronger the chrome steel claws grab the snow in the rear.

Safety advantage: more controllable speed reduction and significantly faster breaking than traditional wooden sleds.

The FIRUN is easily transported by car, train or gondola.

When placed on its back, the wide interior serves as storage space for other luggage.

Note: claw-and-steel edges should be covered with a cloth during car transportation to avoid damage.

For lifting and carrying, use the under-side strap and the front handle hole.

Due to its rounded shape it is also comfortable to carry the FIRUN in different positions over the shoulder or on the back.

A  Flex-Leash is also provided with every FIRUN.  It is stretched to its full length only when dragging the FIRUN over snow.

After riding the FIRUN, wipe with a dry soft cloth to remove moisture, dirt or salt.

Note: As with skis, it is normal for the steel edges to rust slightly due to the high carbon content. This rust will disappear after the first use.

Before summer storage, the skid surfaces should be waxed using conventional wax. This will protect against surface-drying.

Occasional waxing during the winter season will increase glide and speed.

Clean any dirt with a damp cloth followed by a dry soft cloth.

Do not use detergents, furniture polish, abrasive brushes, etc.

Seat cushions can be removed for easy drying.

The leather components do not need any special care.

To remove or change the seat cushion, simply open the snaps.

Seat cushions dry at room temperature – do not put directly on a heater.

Store in a dry, cool place – away from radiators or any sources of heat.

Place upright and do not store any heavy objects on top.
